Shania Twain created the "Today Is Your Day", to provide inspiration. Shania describe it in a music video for "Today Is Your Day" which aired through Vevo.

Shania presents everyday life in the music video. As reported by Taste of Country, some scenes show Shania busy when writing songs and recording sessions in the studio. In another part, Shania also do rock climbing and parachuting.

"The purpose of 'Today Is Your Day' is to inspire ourselves," says Shania. "When I was talking to myself and say, 'This is your day. You can do it'. Creating a single that was my biggest decision to reinvent myself as an independent songwriter and for the first time in several years."
