A 38-year-old man recently profiled as one of Merced County's Most Wanted is back in custody, after an anonymous tip to law enforcement Sunday morning.
Merced County Sheriff's deputies went to a residence in the 1500 block of Pettinotti Road in Merced around 10:30 a.m. after learning suspect Bobby Lee Hendricks had been hiding there, according to Deputy Tom MacKenzie, sheriff's spokesman.
Hendricks had been wanted on a no bail felony warrant on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation.
Deputies arrived and surrounded the house while the sheriff's helicopter arrived to provide support. After entering the residence, deputies found
Hendricks hiding in a back bedroom. He was booked into the Merced County Jail without further incident.
The warrant stemmed from a February 2010 incident where Hendricks allegedly attacked two men with a 12-inch knife after an argument broke out.
No injuries were reported. The two victims were 20 and 22 years of age at time of incident. [Source: mercedsunstar.com]
