Fred Scialla, the nephew of Danny DeVito and his longtime stand-in, died July 7 in Interlaken, N.J., following a long illness. He was 56.

Sciallia appeared on the smallscreen in series "Taxi," "Amazing Stories" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as well as in 1984 telepic "The Ratings Game." His bigscreen credits were "The War of the Roses," "Get Shorty," "Matilda," "L.A. Confidential," Living Out Loud," "The Virgin Suicides," "Death to Smoochy," "Hoffa," "Man on the Moon," "Drowning Mona" and "Big Fish."

Besides his uncle DeVito, Sciallia is survived by his mother and a sister.

There will be a private memorial service next week in New Jersey. [Source: variety.com]
