Kim Won Seok makes Korean Musical Serial as 'Glee'

The success of the series "Sungkyukwan Scandal" makes the director, Kim Won Seok, and scriptwriter, Kim Tae Hee, again collaborating to produce a series. Unmitigated, they intend to compete with "Dream High 2" next year by working on a series of themed musical.

Series that have not announced the title was conceptualized similar to "Glee". For those who have never heard, "Glee" is a series of popular American musical which tells about the struggles of a high school choir.

The director revealed that this series will focus on the characters struggle to reach their dreams, especially in the music world. The series will begin production this year by cooperating with Korean TV stations, Mnet.

"Sungkyukwan Scandal" itself is one of the successful series grabbed the attention of the Korean public. The series is not only achieve high ratings, but also won the award categories including Baeksang Popularity Award at the Arts Awards 2011 and Best Couple KBS Drama Awards in 2010. Serial is enlivened by Micky Yoochun, Park Min Young, Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In.
