Formula 1: Sebastian Vettel in Pole Position

Melbourne - Sebastian Vettel, Pole position in the series opener, the Australian GP.

Vettel dominated the qualifying session at Albert Park circuit on Saturday (26/03/2011). Vettel became the fastest with a record time of 1 minute 23, 529 sec.

McLaren, Lewis Hamilton in second place. Partners Vettel, Mark Webber, in third place.

Jenson Button in fourth place, Fernando Alonso, who recorded the best result for Ferrari. Felipe Massa in eighth place, after experiencing problems in early qualifying session.

Vitaly Petrov indicated surprise appearance (Renault) in sixth place. Mercedes still can not perform optimally, Nico Rosberg in the order of seven and Michael Schumacher was forced out of the Q3 session.

Sauber and Toro Rosso showed an increase after Kamui Kobayashi and Sebastien Buemi completed the top ten positions.
