Cabinet Secretary of Japan Yukio Edano, explain the level of radiation near Fukushima reactor operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has been reduced after the explosion although there are fears the possibility of nuclear leakage after the earthquake and tsunami on Friday.
Edano said: "We decided to flush the reactor storage area with sea water to reduce risk as quickly as possible."
The blast spread debris and clouds of smoke from a nuclear power plant on Saturday, which triggered fears of a radioactive leak a day after a powerful earthquake rocked the cooling system.
