Apple: Patented 'Hybrid Connector' For iOS

Apple wins patent a 30 pins hybrid connector, for a variety of iOS devices.

The connector can carry various types of data, dual lane DisplayPort such as Thunderbolt, and USB 3. The connector can be connected directly with USB 2, 3, audio video inputs and outputs.

This connector has a dual-lane DisplayPort, transfers data at speeds up to 10Hbps in different directions, simultaneously.

The connector is a competitor of Thunderbolt Intel's production. 30 pins Hybrid connector Apple's production, has the power 5V and 3V in separate channels, a USB data 2 and 3, DisplayPort and composite video, and audio comes out. Connector design is thinner than the existing post connector on your iPod, iPhone and iPad.
