Gelsenkirchen - Manchester United seeded over Schalke in Champions League semi-final. Experience last year, making MU alert.
MU will face Schalke in Champions League semi-final, at Veltins-Arena on Wednesday (04/27/2011). 'Red Devils' are seeded, but the potential threat still owned Schalke.
Last year Manchester United have a bad experience when dealing with German club, Bayern Munich, in the quarterfinals. Manchester United was eliminated due to away goals rule after losing 1-2 in the headquarters of Bayern and winning 3-2 at home.
"We remember what happened in the face of a German team last season when we eliminated Bayern Munich," said Patrice Evra on Sky Sports.
"You must respect all the teams and we'll do it. I have much respect for Schalke. you never assume anything," he added.
Schalke already proved as a team that can not be underestimated. Inter Milan are skipped in the quarterfinals with a aggregate, 7-3 .
"When I played for AS Monaco nobody thought we would get to the finals. That's because in the quarterfinals we face Real Madrid and Chelsea in the semi-final we met. But we won both."
"Schalke in the semi-final because it is like to be there. They have a desire to become champion. So we have to respect that and we know the amount of support to them, and the atmosphere in Germany will be incredible," he concluded.
