Champions League Final, Head to Head - Barcelona and Manchester United have met twice in the final of European competition and outdo each other. At the third meeting, who emerged as the winner?
The meeting begins at 1990/1991 Winners' Cup final at De Kuip Stadium, Rotterdam, May 15, 1991. Barcelona were trained Johan Cruyff's while Sir Alex Ferguson has entered its fifth year at MU. MU win by two goals from Mark Hughes and returned once by Ronald Koeman.
18 years later, the two clubs met in the final of the Champions League 2008/2009. Barca win by two goals from Lionel Messi and unable to reply by the 'Red Devils' at Olimpico stadium, 27 May 2009.
Both clubs will again meet in Champions League final on 28 May at Wembley.
The two clubs have met 10 times, each winning three times and the last four games series.
Another note is that no one can ever win a game or two back to back wins in a row.
One more note is Busquets family back there in the third final between Manchester United versus Barcelona. If in 1991, Charles Busquets escorted Barca goalkeeper. In 2009 Sergio, managed to secure Barca midfield.
Is Busquets, if later played, managed to repeat the success two years ago or even end up like his father? Who will win the Champions League?
