"The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green joined season winner Javier Colon to launch Universal CityWalk's new "5 Towers" outdoor concert arena and its free "Plugged In" summer music series.
The debut of "5 Towers" is CityWalk's biggest expansion in more than a decade. The arena features a technologically advanced staging system with thousands of LED fixtures, motion capture, a massive video monitor, five soaring 42-foot light towers and an extremely advanced audio system.
The "Plugged In" concert series will include a variety of L.A.'s most popular artists performing weekends through August 28. The live shows are Friday nights from 7-10 pm, and will feature 98.7 FM's "Close to Home" music showcase, focusing on the station's top selections of L.A.'s most talented local bands.
