Film director Peter Jackson threw a bucket of cold water on hopes of fans of the "Hobbit" that will come this week at Comic-Con International in San Diego when he said that there will be no surprise presentation of his films at this convention pop culture.

In a message on his Facebook page, Jackson said Wednesday it was too early to show pictures of these highly anticipated film based on the book "The Hobbit" by JRR Tolkien at Comic-Con, as had been speculated.

"The bad news is that we will not make any presentation of the" Hobbit, "Jackson wrote. Movie studios "New Line and Warner Bros. were very happy to support a presentation, but I declined, simply because I felt it was too soon. There is much still shoot film."

Jackson directed all three films in "The Lord of the Rings" and in the process won an Academy Award for "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." There was also a standard fan base that will do anything for a look early films "The Hobbit", which are rolling today.

There will be two films based on Tolkien's novel. It is expected that the first release in 2012.
