Georges is a poor former French army. In the trailer, he uses his good looks and his skills to woo women to gain status and wealth. Georges also seduce the wife of a nobleman, Madeleine Forestier (Uma Thurman) who helped him start a career as a journalist.
"Bel Ami" is lifted from a same short story titled by Guy de Maupassant [1885]. In accordance with the book, this film background 1890.
The Movie was directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod and scheduled for release in America on October 19. "Bel Amy" featuring: Christina Ricci (Clotilde de Marelle), Holliday Grainger (Suzanne Walter), Philip Glenister (Charles Forestier), Colm Meaney (Rousset) and Natalia Tena (Rachel).
